Artist's Statement I'm attempting to share what I see in my mind as we journey through this life. Same thing I've always done since I was very small. But now my trusty crayons have been replaced with better and more varied tools. And although I'd like to think the imagery has changed as I've "grown up" I must admit most of the themes remain the same (mainly faces, landscapes and an occasional animal), just hopefully my ability to reproduce them has advanced. ;-) My work comes about two ways. Sometimes I get these "flashes"where I see the entire image in a millisecond, then spend the next few days trying to replicate it. These are usually end up being the "weirder" singular works. I also become obsessed with images (usually faces) I've seen either in print or in person. This usually results in multiple replications, as I'm trying to reproduce and or figure out why I'm so obsessed with the image. Thank you for taking the time to look at my art. Hopefully I can help inspire and evoke some positive energy on our journey... |
